Mahogany Body with a Gloss finish

The Epiphone SG Standard '61 Maestro Vibrola features the classic design that made it relevant, played and loved. Mirroring the classic Gibson model, the Epiphone SG Standard '61 Maestro Vibrola is constructed from an all-mahogany body. The mahogany body offers a warm, rich and well-balanced tone, and a good amount of depth. Completing the mahogany body is a nitro gloss finish.

SlimTaper Neck Construction

The classic SlimTaper neck construction is popular among Guitar Center customers for its fast touch and smooth playability. With its design, the SlimTaper neck promotes speed while reducing player fatigue. It’s also made from mahogany, which extends the sonic depth of the mahogany body. It also includes a Rosewood fretboard that adds to the guitar’s vibrant tone, and a Graph Tech nut.

Powered by Dual Burstbuckers

The Epiphone SG Standard '61 Maestro Vibrola is equipped with two Burstbucker humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge. These Burstbuckers were created to capture the original sound of humbuckers from 1961. They succeed at helping you capture that classic Gibson tone that players and Guitar Center customers have come to love.

Classic Gibson-Inspired Hardware

Rounding out the Epiphone SG Standard '61 Maestro Vibrola are premium features such as the vintage-style Maestro Vibrola tremolo tailpiece, which provides expressive bends and warbles. The Epiphone SG Standard '61 Maestro Vibrato is also equipped with an ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge. The development of legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty in 1954, the ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge set the standard for simplicity and functionality that hasn't been bettered.

Other notable specifications include Vintage Deluxe tuning machines with keystone buttons, medium-jumbo frets, acrylic trapezoid inlays and black top hat control knobs with silver reflector.
